The bicycle.
It is a conscious desire to carry out this project with the smallest possible environmental footprint.
Several years ago, I made the choice "not" to own a car. It's a challenge I take up with pleasure. we can talk about it when we meet.
An exception: my transfer from Alaska to Vancouver will be by ferry.
Several possibilities are available support the CRAZY TOUR:
1- Buying your CRAZY TOUR "postcard" here, and it will be sent from the city of your choice.
2- By receiving one of my conferences in your company, organization, school or sports club during, before or after my tour.
3- By offering me accommodation during my stay in your city.
4- By sending me ideas for companies, organizations, schools or sports club that are looking for inspiring speakers.
5- By getting my book "The joyful approach to challenges: ALWAYS WINNING!" here
6- By becoming a partner of the CRAZY TOUR. Contact me to discuss options.
Contact me here to discuss the details of my visit to your town.
If you offer me accommodation during my CRAZY TOUR, I will give you a copy of my book "The joyful approach to challenges: ALWAYS WINNING!"
Via my Facebook page or the pleinairenor.ca website where you are currently.
All the information related to the CRAZY 2023 TOUR are on this English page. The rest of my website is mainly in French but you can access a "fair" Google translation by looking for the option at the top of your browser. Contact me for any help... And wait to hear my "ACCENT" when we meet. :)
Yes, it is possible to come ride with me during a portion of the CRAZY TOUR.
Only one condition: plan your approach or your return home by public transport or by bicycle. It would be illogical to join me or get back home in a car when my tour aims to have the smallest environmental footprint. Beyond this small constraint, you are welcome.
The list of towns (and the dates of my passage in each of them) is at the top of this web page.
Yes. If this city is on the itinerary and according to the time available.
3 objectives:
I share my "JOYFUL" approach to all of life's challenges. Result: we are “ALWAYS A WINNING!” no matter how the challenges in front of us play out (even if it doesn't go as planned).
You will strongly find the following values (grouped by similarities):
-Confidence, consistency and conviction
-Freedom, authenticity and fulfillment
-Power, curiosity, creativity, originality and adventure
-Perspective and balance
-Determination and resilience
-Peace, justice, respect for oneself, others, life and the environment (contribution)
-Participation, positive attitude, happiness and passion
This is a "GENERAL PUBLIC" presentation... Everyone, from 10 to 110 years old, will find food for thought and a source of motivation to tackle life's challenges with energy and a renewed vision, refreshing and inspiring.
Six elements make up my “Joyful approach to challenges”:
2 rather technical:
The 2nd: The technical elements that make up all challenges.
The 4th: I share all my “motivation” secrets with you.
4 rather philosophical:
The 1st: My magic moment, the most emotional and the most important of each challenge…
The 3rd: What seems obligatory to us, even… torture… Can we find another angle?
The 5th: The most fascinating word of all… The word “try”…
The 6th element is a “secret” until we meet. I will always finish with it.
+ 23 stories/anecdotes and the possibility of discussing my CRAZY TOUR.
(The no.2 video is an introduction and is available above this FAQ section)
Upon reservation, I will send you a list of items and anecdotes/stories. It's up to you to choose what you want to deepen and we will go directly where you want in my presentation. Except the 6th element that will always end my lecture.

Yes. “The outdoor principles: Understanding the essentials” is another presentation available for all groups of people who are called upon outdoor activities. I present three essential principles that will allow you to ALWAYS be comfortable when you go "play outside". Contact me if this presentation interests you.
1- Every year since 2010 I have been BIKING to my Ironman triathlon in Lake Placid (New York state). Once the border is crossed, I still have a hundred kilometers to get to Lake Placid. In the summer of 2021, the Ironman company announces a new triathlon in Juneau, capital of Alaska. After checking, the Western distance between the border and Juneau is similar to the Eastern distance between the border and Lake Placid. Why not bike to Juneau, the same way I've been cycling to Lake Placid since 2010? It's the same! (Of course, there are 6000 km "more" between my home and the Western border... :) I will just need to leave a little earlier).
2- I dream, at each conference presented since 2017, of going on tour. Going to Juneau for a triathlon would perhaps allow me to realize this first dreamed tour?
In October 2021, the idea came into my mind. I had 18 months left to turn this dream into reality.
In 2006, I participated in a first endurance challenge. A sequence of events led me to participate in at least three endurance sports challenges per year since then. During these challenges, the following questions came up repeatedly:
"Are we doing the same race because you still have fun and I don't?"
I have thought about it and observed what I do differently. Put it all in writing, made a first presentation that resonated very strongly... This presentation was born.
The list of the 64 challenges in which I participated since 2006 can be seen here.
Different possibilities exists for a school environment: I can tour different classes, present in front of a large group or an auditorium.
Technical needs are minimal: A screen and a projector easy to connect to my computer.
A price is attached to my presentation.
I'm not very comfortable when it comes to the money. Some tell me it's too high, others that it's definitely too low.
One thing for sure: The desire to share my vision is greater than my will to respect these price suggestions.
Corporate: $5000 (with DONATION of $2500 to a charity of your choice) OR $2500 (without DONATION)
65% discount for schools and NPOs =
$1750 (with a DONATION of $875 to a charity of your choice) OR $875 (without DONATION).
(SEE POINT 22 FOR THE SPECIAL «CRAZY TOUR» PRICE)
Yes! (initially, this price applied on reservation BEFORE my departure... Since I did not manage to contact all the organizations I wanted BEFORE leaving, I decided to maintain this special price for the entire duration of the CRAZY TOUR)
Corporate: $4500 (with DONATION of $2250 to a charity of your choice) OR $2250 (without DONATION)
school and NPO: $1,500 (with a DONATION of $750 to an organization of your choice) OR $750 (without DONATION)
*note: The desire to share my vision is greater than my will to respect those suggested prices.
Yes.
When booking, we will present you our cancellation and refund policy.
Indeed, the 2023 Alaska Ironman was canceled in December 2022. Oh well... I maintain my project and will go to Juneau to perform an Ironman distance triathlon, by myself, as it happened in 2020 when the Ironman Lake Placid was canceled and in 2021 as the borders were closed. Both times, I performed my Ironman triathlon at home in Quebec. However not less difficult.
As in each of my sport challenges, I will start with energy and a positive attitude... And will try to complete the distance in less than 17 hours, as I did in each of my past 14 Ironman distance triathlons.
The list of the 64 challenges in which I participated since 2006 can be seen here.
- I am vaccinated.
- After discussions with a specialized person who works in the field of health, it appears that specific measures related to C-19 are no longer necessary. Of course, I will bring with me several antigen tests (rapid tests) and will carry out tests if symptoms associated with C-19 occur. I will let you know if this happens. We can then decide whether the presentation takes place or not and what measures we will adopt.
- I am very receptive to "wearing a mask" according to your organization's policies.
- I am very receptive to the physical distance measure (2 meters) in any place and at any time where it is easy to apply.
