15e semaine de la FOLLE TOURNÉE 2025... Bris mécanique, auto-stop, aurores boréales et Côte Nord…
Le «jeux de pédalier» de mon compagnon à deux roues rend l’âme au cours du dernier kilomètre avant Labrador City. Aucune boutique ni mécano avant Baie-Comeau… 600 km plus au sud. Timing parfait car je me demandais comment j’allais gérer les 170 km de gravelle qui s’y trouvent. Ce sera en «auto-stop». J’arrête volontairement à Gagnon (ville minière fermée et rasée en 1985) pour dormir avec ses fantômes… Sur place se trouve un camp de travailleurs où je serai invité spontanément à présenter une conférence. Les responsables du camp m’inviteront par la suite à la vieille mine pour apprécier les aurores boréales du moment… Peut-être «LA» meilleure photo de la FOLLE TOURNÉE 2025?
Une fois mon vélo réparé (à Baie-Comeau) je prends la décision de remplacer les 600 km «de Fermont à Baie-Comeau» par les 600 km de «Baie-Comeau à Kegaska» au bout de la route 138…
La fin de mon voyage approche… Je le sens… Que vais-je trouver au bout de la route 138?

Week 15 of the CRAZY TOUR 2025... Mechanical breakdown, hitchhiking, Northern Lights and Quebec’s North Shore...
The bottom bracket of my two-wheeled companion's gave way in the last kilometer before Labrador City. No shop or mechanic before Baie-Comeau... 600 km further South. Perfect timing since I was wondering how I was gonna manage the 170 km gravel section found there. It will be "hitchhiking". I voluntarily stop in Gagnon (a mining town closed and demolished in 1985) to share a night with its ghosts... A workers' camp is there where I will be spontaneously invited to give a talk. The persons in charge of the camp later invited me to the old mine to admire that evening’s Northern Lights… Maybe «THE» CRAZY TOUR 2025's best picture?
Once my bike was repaired (in Baie-Comeau), I decided to replace the 600 km “from Fermont to Baie-Comeau” with the 600 km “from Baie-Comeau to Kegaska” at the end of Route 138…
The end of my journey is approaching… I can feel it… What will I find at the end of Route 138?

LES ÉMOTIONS, LE LABRADOR, LA VIE… 1re PARTIE:
13e semaine de la FOLLE TOURNÉE 2025... Plus je me rapproche du Labrador, plus mes attentes sont élevées… Je perds lentement le contrôle de mes émotions… Rouler dans les vastes étendus d’épinettes à perte de vue… Ça ne peut qu’être «magique»… Mais une crainte m’habite… Si la magie n’était pas au rendez-vous?!
Une fois au quai de Blanc-Sablon, je tourne à gauche vers «l’EST» pour atteindre le village de «Vieux Fort» quelques 70 km plus loin, au bout de la route 138.
Deux jours plus tard je quitte Vieux Fort, reprends la route vers Blanc-Sablon et entre au Labrador… Je suis à fleur de peau… Si seulement je pouvais réussir à vous partager un peu l’émotion que je vis…
Cette incroyable émotion m’envahit… Il reste environ 2600 km sur les 6000 km de ma FOLLE TOURNÉE 2025… Mais ce que je ressens dans mon cœur c’est que je ne suis pas en train de terminer un voyage de 6000 km mais un voyage de 18 000 km… Dans mon cœur, mes deux FOLLES TOURNÉES (celle de 2023 vers l’Alaska et celle de cette année autour des Maritimes Canadiennes) sont en train de fusionner… Au total des deux, j’aurai pédalé plus de 18 000 km sur une année complète.

EMOTIONS, LABRADOR, LIFE… 1st PART:
Week 13 of the CRAZY TOUR 2025... The closer I get to Labrador, the higher my expectations become… I'm slowly losing control of my emotions… Riding through vast expanses of spruce trees as far as the eye can see… It can only be “magical”… But one fear haunts me… What if the magic’s not there?!
Once at the Blanc-Sablon dock, I turn left towards the "EAST" to reach the village of "Vieux Fort" some 70 km further, at the end of route 138.
Two days later, I leave Vieux Fort, get back on the road towards Blanc-Sablon, and enter Labrador... I'm on edge... If only I could succeed sharing with you a little of the emotion I'm experiencing...
This incredible emotion is overwhelming me... There are about 2 600 km left of the 6 000 km of my CRAZY TOUR 2025... But what I feel in my heart is that I'm not finishing a 6 000 km journey, but an 18 000 km endeavour... In my heart, my two CRAZY TOURS (the one in 2023 to Alaska and this year's around the Canadian Maritimes) are merging... In total, I will have cycled more than 18 000 km in a full year.
